About the Position

We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Optometrist to join our growing medical practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care, perform examinations, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, and educate patients on maintaining optimal eye health.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.

• Diagnose, treat, and manage common ocular conditions and diseases.

• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other appropriate vision correction.

• Evaluate patients for ocular abnormalities and refer to ophthalmology or other specialists when necessary.

• Perform and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing.

• Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans.

• Educate patients regarding eye health, treatment options, and preventative care.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records.

• Collaborate with physicians, providers, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care.

• Follow all applicable clinical, regulatory, and patient-safety standards.

• Maintain a professional and welcoming patient experience.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.

• Current and unrestricted Michigan Optometry license.

• Active DEA registration, if applicable to the position.

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a medical team.

• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
